Artist Notes
“ Is it Gaza that carries us? Or are we the ones carrying her? Is home Gaza? Or are we her home? Do we truly see Gaza in everything? Or are we the ones searching for her in everything? I see Gaza as a passionate lover, holding within her all meanings and their opposites. And we... we are the lover, eternally bound to her love. And we... we are the lover, eternally bound to her love. Is she a curse? A mercy? Both? She is Gaza. She is us. With all her contradiction.” - Nada Al-Khatib
